TWSD water situation update 11/13/25
Jeanie at Statewide Drilling sent a picture of the new pump they had built for our well #1. The certified domestic pipe is here and the last time I spoke with her, Statewide is planning on being here on Friday morning to start installing everything.
After everything is in place, we will need to shock the well with chlorine then flush it out. When that's complete, we can take water samples and get them tested. It's my understanding that if the samples pass, we can bring Well #1 back online.
Please keep in mind that firing up the well with the power of a new pump could cause other issues but whatever happens, we will address it and get it under control as soon as we can.
I am so grateful to the community for their conservation efforts that have allowed us to maintain a water supply for a week off of just the Golf course well. You guys are phenomenal. However, this event just reinforces the fact that we have got to focus on backup water supplies like water from Carissa Springs and getting our other wells operational.
And frankly, I'm really looking forward to a shower and doing a load of laundry.
One thing to take note of, when we flush the well, there's going to be a lot of water running down Pawnee, Sauk and Sacramento. This might happen tomorrow (11/14/25 or Saturday 11/15/25) so don't be alarmed.
However, if you see water running down the road in any other areas, please give me a call. Otis 505-615-8782
Thanks everyone for your patience and understanding.
